1954年に本格的に登場したLes Paul Customは、ABR-1 Tune-O-Maticブリッジを初めて搭載したモデルでもあります。
マホガニーのワンピースボディ、Klusonのワッフルバック チューナー（プラスチックボタン付き）、CTSのポット、ペーパー イン オイルコンデンサなど、ビンテージ感あふれる仕上がりになっています。
そしてオリジナルと同様にネックポジションにステイプル ピックアップ、ブリッジポジションにソープバーP-90ピックアップを採用し、ゴールドハードウェアで装飾されています。
